about
Raised in Wisconsin at the confluence of Pepin County bluffs and the storied Northwoods, a young girl sought companionship among the vultures and buntings of her backyard.
An emerging environmental educator and communicator, Olivia has a BS in Ecology and Environmental Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, a Certificate of Graduate Studies in Strategic Communications from Butler University, and is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation. She has worked for Cincinnati Nature Center, Eagle Creek Park, and currently volunteers as a director with Amos Butler Audubon Society.
Sometimes environmental education is the end itself- from each little spring pond and brush pile there is woven together a wild natural network to observe, enjoy and faithfully protect. Other times, it also provides a means... to comfort and empower those misunderstood, to impart wisdom, and to refresh with childlike wonder and hope; forging beauty from beauty.
Olivia is skilled at employing various tones, formats, and mediums in her craft, and is passionate about integrating storytelling, the complexity of the ordinary, accessibility, faith, and artistry whenever it best enhances the message of a program or written piece.
